Ariela Rose's Photo Story

Farmer's markets have been popping up in the past couple of years all over the City of Brotherly Love.

There has been a growing demand for fresh, local produce that is beneficial to both health and the local economy.

A vast array of fruits and vegetables can be purchased on your local street corner. Anything from watermelons, to ready to peel corn on the cob.

The markets offer a chance for those to reside in the city to interact with fellow Pennsylvanians who live in more rural areas...

and to appreciate, and help out hardworking families who produce the products in their homes and on their farms.

Much of the produce is bought by Philadelphia area restaurants, packed into boxes, and delivered in trucks by the local farmers.

So when you wake up on sunday morning and head to your favorite brunch spot...

you can enjoy a fresh delicious meal prepared using ingredients that were produced right in your home state!
